I appoligize for my 'leave of absence' - I just really wanted to enjoy the rest of my summer and not be spending it on a computer (don't hate me)!
I decided to take a break from my readings and do a blog post since I haven't in a while. There's an annoying child in the showroom right now so I'm trying my best to concentrate haha!
Let me fill you guys in with what's new in my life! PS: be prepared for a lot of reading OOPS!!
- I wrapped up an amazing summer
- I started a new job!
- I had my last First Day of school
Anyyyyyyyyyways.. I said sayonara!!!! to Summer 2012! I was able to spend a lot of time with my boyfriend, friends and family, and breathe before the storm - that 'storm' being school. My fondest memories of S'12 were:
Cotty life - I went to Blue Mountian twice this summer, once with friends and once with family! I love the cottage life, I don't think there's anything better than hanging out with a drink in hand and just enjoying peoples company. I'm not the kinda girl who needs expensive events and bottle service to make me happy!
Benny - My family got a new car! Woop woop! Having four drivers and two cars was a definite challenge so we had to expand! 'Benny' is what my sister named the car because its a Mercedes-Benz B200 *PLEASE do not let the brand of car fool you, we bought it used and we bought it for the car itself, not the name :)
Cinzia and John's wedding - My GodSister got married! I love weddings, and although theirs was quickly planned, it was amazing and we all had a blast! I'm so exicted for them because not only do they both have the new titles of husband and wife, they'll soon add mommy and daddy to the picture! Yay for baby Jaxon.
Day dates - Mike and I went to Medieval Times and had a blast!! We're both kids at heart so we really enjoyed it! We ate with our hands, took silly pictures, and cheered for our team! Lets go Red and Gold! We also visted the ROM and the Science Center! I had some family from Italy come to Canada for a month and visit, and we also took them around to different sites and resturants! Mike and I finished the last couple weeks of summer off with a baseball game (Jays vs Yankees) for our year and a half anniversary!
Final kegger - I ended the summer off with a BBQ and kegger at my house with a bunch of my friends! I can now see why keggers are so popular because the beer is endless. Even when we returned the keg the guy said that it was half full! It was nice to spend one last night with everyone and not having to worry about working on assignments or readings that had to be done.
Goodbye and goodnight Summer 2012 - it's been a slice :)
Next on our program: For those of you who are wondering, my new job is in a school!! Working at a Before and After Program - basically responsible for watching the kids who need to get dropped off earlier and picked up later than regular school hours! I found the ad for the position on KiJiJi (weird huh?) and literally, before I knew it, I was employed! The hours were hard to get used to in the begining - I have to wake up at 5:45 AM. Never thought I'd see the day I'd be driving to work before 7 am! But I love what I do and I love that I was fortunate enough to find a position working somewhat in my feild - Teaching! I'm exicted to spend more time with the kids and my co-workers and getting more experiance for my future! *snaps for me*
Last but not least, school! It makes me exicted to say that I had my last First Day! I can't believe 3 years of University have gone by. I just want to graduate and get my life on track already!!!!!!!! Jeeze haha I know it'll be hard to jumpstart my career right away but I know with a degree under my belt and the begining of teachers college, I'll feel more on track.
And fin. That is basically the last 3 months my life in a nutshell! Glad everyone is up to speed (including myself!!) I hope you weren't too annoyed/bored reading my post! I'd love to hear feedback so leave any comments you'd like.
